Creating Jobs By Purchasing Gifts Made In America

ABC News and Diane Sawyer set out last year to document the journey of a family who agreed to rid their home of any product not made in America. For those of you who watched the series, you know the sad truth was that the house had to be almost completely emptied and the effort to replace products with items made in the USA encompassed a lot of research and exploration of US Companies. In the course of this story (ABC News – Made In America) other ideas were uncovered. Such as: The average American will spend $700 on holiday gifts and goodies this year, the National Retail Federation estimates. If each American spent just $64 of that $700 on American made goods it would create 200,000 new jobs.
